They were friendly and helpful with suggestions of good places to go as well as making sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent - all freshly cooked to order and even the porridge was made exactly as each guest required! Read less

Clearly this is a place that is well cared for and where the host and hostess are constantly working to enhance the facilities. Our room was fresh and clean, newly updated and comfortable.

Choose the hotel as I wanted somewhere reasonable and it was only for 1 night. I did however, deliberately book a 4 star, to ensure that the quality was reasonable. The room was a mish mash of furniture that looked as if they had been thrown together in the seventies. Surfaces chipped, clock radio old and not working properly, duvets cheap and nasty material. This was not cheap and I would have expected more than this. the bathroom was lovely - very clean Read less

We are sorry that you did not like the room. We know that the wardrobe and chest of drawers are old and they are being replaced soon. The bedding is supplied by a laundry on contract and is of industry standard, we have not had any complaints about it before. We didn't know there was a problem with clock (which is not very old) it will now be replaced.

I have a disability and needed support with breakfast, which the owners were more than happy to do. There was also a fire safety sign you can hang outside your door if you need assistance in a fire emergency. Read less

Very friendly owners, happy to help with any queries you may have, and flexibility to come and go (as long as you're quiet if coming in late!)
Dislikes:
The doors were a bit heavy, and there was a step you need to watch out for coming out of the Sun Lounge. It's clearly shown but just watch out for it!
