CANCELLATION POLICY
Once you have booked your stay the agreement is a legal contract. If you have booked through a third party i.e. Booking.com/Expedia/LateRooms, you must contact them to change or cancel your booking and adhere to the cancellation policy on their sites.

DIRECT BOOKINGS:- In the event of cancellation any time during the 48 hours before the booking starts, you will be charged the cost of your first night's booking. If you cancel before the two days there are no charges. If you do not cancel and you do not show up for your booking you will be charged the total cost of the booking. Bay Lodge Guest House guarantees to reserve your accommodation for the dates required. In the event of cancellation by Bay Lodge you will be offered alternative accommodation at a similar establishment, and any additional travelling or accommodation costs would be reimbursed.

VERY IMPORTANT:- Please read your room description and check that you have booked the correct type of room for your requirements. We are unable to change any room booked through a third-party booking agent and you are liable for cancellation costs if you do not stay.

No allowance can be made for meals not taken, temporary absence or if departure is made before the end of the period booked. Breakfast is served from 8.30-10am, although we can be flexible on these times in special circumstances.

It is appreciated if all guests could give an estimated time of arrival. Check in times are 16.00-19.00 hrs. Please inform us of arrivals outside of these hours. Check out is at 11am.

Sorry no babies or pets (apart from assistance dogs) can be accommodated. Please advise us if you are travelling with children.

Smoking is not permitted by law on the premises. Anyone smoking in the building or on the balcony will be asked to leave with no refund and any damage or additional cleaning caused by smoking will be chargeable.

Please do not eat hot takeaway food in your rooms. If you would like to eat a takeaway in the dining room, please let us know.

If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know.

Please report any damages, spillages or breakages you cause to the accommodation or its contents. You may be asked to cover the cost of any damage.

For third party bookings please read the booking terms regarding payment. For direct bookings the payment will be taken from your credit/debit card the day before arrival unless we have agreed different terms.

There is a car park directly behind the building for three cars. If the car park is full there is free on street parking in the vicinity. PARKING CANNOT BE RESERVED. Please note that all guests have to use the front entrance, the back entrance and yard is private.

All guests should ensure that the front door is closed securely when they go out and that they do not let anyone they do not know into the building.

Bay Lodge Guest House cannot accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

Any guests who are abusive, cause excessive damage/mess and or noise, have unauthorised extra guests in their room, do not pay or are involved in theft and fraud, will be reported to GuestChek and their details will be circulated to other accommodation providers in Eastbourne, they may find that they are unable to book into other hotels.
